High schools
Girls basketball
Kennedy Catholic faces a 6 p.m. West Central District game at Washington High School in Parkland on Wednesday and Seattle Christian School battles Coupeville at the same time at Sumner High School.
West Seattle waits until Thursday to play Juanita in 6:30 p.m. Sea-King tournament action at Bellevue Community College.
A win would advance the Wildcats into an 8:15 p.m. Saturday game at BCC for the Sea-King title. A loss and they play for third and fourth at 2:15 p.m. at the same site.
Boys basketball
Shorewood Christian and Seattle Lutheran are playing playoff games at Mount Vernon Christian on Thursday as Kennedy Catholic battles Auburn-Mountainview at 6 p.m. at Clover Park High School in Lakewood.
Gymnastics
The state gymnastics meet takes place Friday and Saturday at the Tacoma Dome exhibition hall.
March in for the 4A team competition is at 9:40 a.m. Friday and for the 1A/2A/3A it is set for 6:20 p.m.
Individual finals start at 11:20 a.m. Saturday.
Wrestling
The Tacoma Dome is hosting the state wrestling boys and girls tournaments with action at 3:30 p.m. Friday followed by 4:30 p.m. placement games Saturday and 9:30 p.m. Saturday finals.
Boys swimming
State boys swimming action is being held Friday and Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
Class 3A swimming and diving preliminaries start at 9:45 a.m. Friday, followed by the 4A at 2:30 p.m. and the 2A at 6:15 p.m.
Swimming and diving finals for 3A start at 10 a.m. Saturday with the 4A at 2:30 p.m. and the 2A at 6:30 p.m.
Pros and colleges
Thunderbirds
Seattle hosts Lethbridge for 7:35 p.m. Western Hockey League action at the Showare Center in Kent on Friday and Everett comes to town at 6:05 p.m. Saturday. Calgary visits at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
Mariners
Seattle opens spring training Friday as pitchers and catchers report to Peoria, Ariz. and workouts begin Saturday.
Husky, Cougar men
Washington State University in Pullman hosts the University of Washington for a 5:30 p.m. Pac-10 men's basketball game Sunday on the ESPNU network.
Husky, Cougar women
Washington hosts WSU for 7:30 p.m. action Friday and the Cougars turn around to host the Huskies at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Pac-12 network will show both games live.
Redhawks men
Seattle University hosts Kansas City at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Chicago State at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Redhawks women
Seattle visits Kansas City at 5 p.m. Thursday and Chicago State at noon Saturday.
