Keeping Track: Local sports stars find their future

Chief Sealth graduate Keone Kela was sent to AA Frisco right before the Texas Rangers' weekend series in Seattle and now finds himself as a teammate of Des Moines native Alex Burg.
Kela had a 5-5 record with a 3.30 earned run average for the Rangers with 47 strikeouts, 44 hits allowed and 14 walks allowed in 43.2 innings of work out of the bullpen. He also had one save in three opportunities.
The 22 year old is now 1-0, 0.00 with two strikeouts in two innings of work for the Frisco RoughRiders of the Texas League.
Kela stands at 6-foot, 1 inch and 230 pounds as a rookie out of Everett Community College.
He throws and bats right-handed and is 0-for-5 in his Major League career as a hitter.
Burg came to Frisco by way of Washington State University and started off the 2015 season with Class A High Desert.
The 6-0, 190 right-handed batter is 28 years old and plays catcher.
He has played in 35 games for Frisco, hittting .282 (35-for-124) with five doubles, five home runs, 19 runs scored, 17 RBI and 16 walks.
Burg batted .302 (60-for-199) at High Desert. He had 14 doubles, 15 home runs, 45 runs scored and 43 RBI in 57 games.
Kelemete back with Saints
Evergreen graduate Senio Kelemete returns for another season with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League as a 6-3, 300-pound guard.
Kelemete is in his third year out of the University of Washington and is 25 years old.
He wears No. 65 for the Saints.
Cougars boast two grads
Washington State University has two Burien-area graduates on its football team this year.
Kennedy graduate Cole Madison is a 6-5, 303-pound offensive lineman in his redshirt sophomore season.
Madison wears No. 61 for the Cougars.
Highline graduate Erik Anderson is now listed as a wide receiver for WSU although he started off as a backup quarterback.
The 6-2, 190 Anderson is a redshirt sophomore who wears No. 17.
Brett in AAA Durham
Highline graduate Ryan Brett has played 58 games for the AAA Durham Bulls this season, hitting .225 (52-for-231) with 33 runs, 19 RBI, 12 doubles, one triple and three home runs.
Brett enjoyed a brief stint with the parent Tampa Bay Rays early in the season and still tops the list of Rays averages at .667 (2-for-3). He hit one double off the wall before suffering an injury.
Ishikawa pinch hitting
Federal Way graduate Travis Ishikawa is now serving mostly as a pinch hitter for the Pittsburgh Pirates, although he is still a slick-fielding first baseman when he gets the position.
Ishikawa has played in 24 games since being picked up from the San Francisco Giants organization, batting .205 (8-for-39) with three doubles, one home run, eight RBI and five walks.
He hit the winning home run for San Francisco that propelled the Giants from the National League Championship Series into the World Series last fall.
Conger with Astros
Hank Conger, who was born in Federal Way but grew up in California, is now catching for the Houston Astros after starting off his career up until this year with the Los Angeles Angels.
Conger has played in 46 games for the Astros, batting .242 (31-for-128).
Conger has scored 19 runs and racked up 21 RBI to go with seven doubles, eight home runs and 20 walks.
