Destination Delridge: A Landmark Celebration Fundraiser
For the first time in five years, the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association is hosting a fundraiser! We celebrate 20 years of DNDA strengthening the Delridge community, and 10 years of youth and arts education at the dynamic Youngstown Cultural Arts Center. There'll be great food, live entertainment, art, games, and music by some of Seattle's finest! It all happens Fri., Feb. 26 at Metropolist in SoDo. “Youth Voice, Youth Choice" Public Idea Assembly

Wed., Feb. 10, 4–6 p.m. New Participatory Budgeting (PB) Initiative goal is to empower youth to make important decisions on how to spend a portion of the budget. The City kicks off the process with public idea assemblies to brainstorm ideas for potential projects with community members of all ages. Youth volunteers turn those ideas into concrete proposals with support from Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and City staff. Seattle youth vote for the projects they would like to see implemented in their communities. The winning projects are funded and implemented by the City of Seattle and other local agencies. Anyone can attend a public idea assembly to share their thoughts on kinds of projects they would like to see funded in their community.
