Baseball
Seattle Christian will pay a 4 p.m. visit to Foster on Wednesday, then the Metro League tournament opens Thursday with Chief Sealth playing a 4 p.m. game at Ingraham.
West Seattle waits until the second round to play a 7 p.m. game at the Southwest Athletic Complex on Friday and the survivors in the single-elimination go on to a day full of action at Steve Cox Memorial Park in White Center on Saturday.
The West Central District tournaments for the Seamount League and South Puget Sound League will also take place Saturday with opponents, times and locations to be announced.
Meanwhile, Seattle Lutheran will pay a 3:15 p.m. visit to Crosspoint on Friday.
Fastpitch softball
Chief Sealth wraps up its regular season with a 4 p.m. home game against Franklin on Wednesday as West Seattle travels to Ballard, with the Wildcats facing their finale at 4 p.m. Thursday at Seattle Prep.
The Metro League tournament then opens Saturday.
At 3:30 p.m. Wednesday Foster is at Evergreen, Renton at Tyee, Highline at Hazen, Kennedy at Lindbergh and Evergreen Lutheran at Seattle Lutheran.
Seattle Christian travels to Cascade Christian for a 4 p.m. game Wednesday.
Scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Friday are Tyee at Kennedy, Evergreen at Highline and Lindbergh at Foster.
Boys soccer
West Seattle hosts Eastside Catholic for a 3:30 p.m. game Wednesday and Chief Sealth entertains Ballard at 4 p.m. as the regular Metro League season concludes.
Tennis
Foster hosts Highline for a 3:30 p.m. match Wednesday as Kennedy entertains Hazen, Tyee hosts Lindbergh and Evergreen goes to Renton.
At 3:30 p.m. Friday Kennedy is at Evergreen, Lindbergh at Highline, Renton at Foster and Tyee at Hazen.
Track and field
Seattle Christian will host a meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at West Seattle Stadium, then Chief Sealth will entertain Eastside Catholic and Roosevelt at 2:45 p.m. Thursday. West Seattle goes to Ingraham with Seattle Prep at the same time.
The SeaTac League championship is at 4 p.m. Thursday at Franklin Pierce.
The Seamount League season concluded at 3:30 p.m. Friday with Evergreen and Tyee hosting Highline and Kennedy going to Foster.
Golf
The Seattle Christian boys host Cascade Christian for a 3:30 p.m. match at Riverbend in Kent on Thursday as the girls team goes to Cascade Christian.
Pros
Sounders
Seattle hosts San Jose for 7 p.m. men's professional soccer action at CenturyLink Field on Saturday that will be televised on Channel 13.
Mariners
Seattle is in Oakland for a 12:35 p.m. game Wednesday before going to Houston for 5:10 p.m. games Thursday and Friday, for 4:05 p.m. action Saturday and for an 11:10 a.m. contest Sunday.
The Mariners then come home to Safeco Field to play Tampa Bay at 7:10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
All M's games are carried on ROOT Sports cable television.
Rainiers
Tacoma, the Mariners' Class AAA affiliate, is at home at Cheney Stadium playing Salt Lake City at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
The Rainiers go to Albuquerque for 6:05 p.m. contests Friday and Saturday before playing at 12:35 p.m. Sunday and 10:05 a.m. Monday.
It's on to Fresno for 6:35 p.m. action Tuesday.
Thunderbirds
Seattle opens the Western Hockey League championship series Friday with 6 p.m. action at Brandon on Friday before playing the host Wheat Kings again at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The best of seven series then comes back to the Showare Center in Kent for 7:05 p.m. games Tuesday and Wednesday.
Reign
The Seattle women's professional soccer team visits Orlando for 2 p.m. action Sunday.
Emerald Downs
The Auburn horse racing oval is open for 6:30 p.m. action Friday and for 2 p.m. action Saturday and Sunday.
