Kennedy Catholic and Mount Rainier both came away with victories in North Puget Sound League boys basketball action Friday.
JFK’s Lancers posted a 58-54 victory over Kentridge as Mount Rainier topped Kentlake, 50-40.
Highline also emerged victorious that night, slipping past Orting by a 47-43 score in South Puget Sound League 2A play.
Foster, meanwhile, was a 79-53 winner over Washington in another SPSL 2A game as Tyee lost to Clover Park, 71-44.
In 3A Metro League boys basketball action, Chief Sealth fell to Franklin by an 88-62 score and Ballard was edged by Seattle Prep, 53-50.
Seattle Christian took a 60-52 loss to Charles Wright in 1A Nisqually League action.
Tyee posted a win on the girls side Friday, defeating Clover Park’s Warriors by a 57-48 margin as Foster won against Washington, 46-27.
Seattle Christian scored a 59-42 girls victory over Charles Wright.
Franklin slipped past Chief Sealth by a 55-54 score that night and Ballard lost to Seattle Prep, 52-35, as Kennedy lost, 63-26, to Kentridge and Mount Rainier lost to Kentlake, 60-26.
Evergreen took a 50-34 loss to Foss.
Mount Rainier played again Saturday and took a 66-39 non-league loss to Auburn Mountainview.
