Grace Felner finished first for Mount Rainier High School in the Class 4A 100-yard breaststroke and second in the 200 individual medley at Saturday's state swimming and diving championships.
Felner plied the waters of the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way in a time of 1 minute, 2.64 seconds to take the 100 breast and posted a time of 2:02.36 in the 200 IM.
Both times broke the standard for All-American Consideration.
Felner's efforts helped the Rams take 11th as a team with 92 points, while Kennedy Catholic came in 32nd with seven points.
Allison Shimp of Mount Rainier took fourth place in diving with 319.15 points.
Mount Rainier was eighth in the 200 free in 1:45.92 and ninth in the 400 free relay in 3:40.30.
Kierste Weiler scored all seven of Kennedy Catholic's points, taking 10th place in the 100 backstroke with a 59.05 clocking.
2A meet
Highline finished 14th as a team in the Class 2A meet that was also held at the Aquatic Center, scoring 68 points.
Emily Zacharias led the way for the Pirates by finishing fourth in both the 200 IM and 100 breast.
She posted a 2:13.42 time in the 200 IM and a 1:08.11 in the 100 breast.
Teammate Ariceli Felix was 11th in the 200 IM in 2:17.27 and 11th in the 100 breast in
1:11.42.
Marianna Cate of the Pirates placed 13th in diving with 243.90 points.
Highline was 10th in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:59.87 and 13th in the 400 free relay in 3:59.05.
