Wayman L. Freeman
--January 6, 1939-October 19, 2018

Wayman passed away peacefully on October 19, 2018, surrounded by family. 
 
Born in 1939 in Rome, GA, he made his way to Seattle via the Navy in 1956, where he met and married his wife Marilyn of 42 years, until her passing in 2001. 

He worked as a warehouseman for 36 years, retiring in 1995 to take care of his wife. He loved to sing and play the guitar. He would tease his family and friends, by starting a song, and never EVER finishing it. He also loved camping. He bought a property in Mason County in 1973, where the family still camps 46 years later.

Donald Arthur Dorland

 

Donald Arthur Dorland was born on May15, 1936 in Seattle, Washington.  He passed on May 19, 2019 in Surprise, Arizona with his family by his side. 

 

Don graduated from Highline High School in 1954.   He was the first person in his family to attend college.  He was awarded a full-ride basketball scholarship at the University of Washington, and he embraced the opportunity with a passion.    Don joined the Delta Upsilon fraternity and remained connected to many of his fraternity brothers until his passing.  

 

Jeannie Frances Wise Tutino December 30, 1936 - May 14, 2019

Jeannie passed peacefully into Heaven while in a Hospice facility in Billings, Montana.  She is survived by her sons, Darrin, Larry and Doug, and her two sisters, Kay and Roberta.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Lee Ott.  At Jeannie’s request, there will be no services.  Jeannie enjoyed her West Seattle High School class reunions and we know she would be sorry to miss this year’s and her 65th in 2020.

Mary Lou Grinols August 9, 1935 – May 10, 2019

Mary Lou Grinols, "The Cookie Lady," 83, of Seattle, Washington, passed away on May 10, 2019. She was born in Spokane, Washington. She spent her school years in Stanwood and graduated from Everett High School in 1954. She was married to Glen Allen Grinols in 1956 until his death in 1983. She found love twice and was married to her second husband, Emlin Miller from 1991 until his death two years later. 

 

John A. Sinon, Jr. May 1, 1956 – May 20, 2019

John (Jack) Sinon, Jr. died Monday May 20, 2019 of complications from a stroke suffered last November.

Born May 1, 1956 in Seattle, Jack was the proud father of three sons, Michael James, Timothy John, and Alexander Evan and grandfather to Jonah, John, Leo, and Amelia all of Des Moines.  He is survived by a brother, James Sinon of Bellevue, and sisters, Catherine Dickson-Schaffer of Los Angeles, and Connie Sinon of Puyallup.

Captain Al J. Krininger October 24, 1957- April 30, 2019

Captain Al passed away at his property in Curlew, WA.  Al was in a car accident 24 hours prior to his death; the head injury he sustained was believed to be a contributing cause.

Al was a resident of Port Ludlow, WA.

He is survived by his sons Derek Krininger of University Place and Kristopher Krininger of Port Orchard; his sisters, Kathy Pulliam of Seattle, Paula Lewis of Silverdale, Sally C. Hass of Bremerton; and his partner, Becky MacDonald of Vashon.  His parents pre-deceased him.

Gerald B. Baker

Gerald (Jerry) B. Baker passed away on April 17, 2019 at the age of 77 after a brief illness.  Jerry was a long-time resident and fixture of White Center.  He was a graduate of O'Dea High School, Highline Community College and the University of Washington.  Jerry worked as a Boeing engineer for 40 years and was an avid Huskies fan.  Jerry is survived by his daughters Sherri and Veoletta, his sister Shirley and his good friends Don, Mindy, Lou, Tina and John, among others.

Lavon Marie Bannon

Lavon Marie (Bonnie) Bannon, born in Everett, WA on May 4, 1924, died on May 18, 2018. She grew up in Ballard and was an American Airlines Stewardess and a licensed seaplane pilot in the 1940’s. She later worked for Seattle City Light, where she met Cal Bannon and they married in 1951.

Calvin Frederick Bannon

Calvin Frederick Bannon passed March 7, 2019 reaching 98 years of an active, productive and charmed life.  Born February 15, 1921, he resided his entire life on the shores of Fauntleroy in West Seattle.  Cal was a World War II “Hump” pilot, flying C-47 (DC3) cargo planes on China-Burma-India routes.
