Do you have the stamina to stand? The Last SUP'r standing paddle board endurance contest will take place June 2 with the winner taking home prizes worth more than $1000. An obstacle course, gear demos and more will all be part of the event, which begins at 8 AM.
As the West Seattle Herald reported first on May 19, a unique event is set to happen at Seacrest Park and Cove on June 2 that will test the mettle of those who try it. It's an endurance event to see who can remain standing the longest on a Stand Up Paddleboard to win prizes and recognition. Sponsored by Mountain to Sound Outfitters the event will begin at 8 am.

Who will be the last person standing? "The Last Supr Standing" sponsored by Mountain to Sound Outfitters will test the endurance, stamina and balance of those willing to face the test of standing on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) the longest, to not only claim the title, but hopefully to set a world record.
Set in the beautiful Seacrest Cove in West Seattle with the Seattle skyline as a backdrop, the event will take place June 2 and will start at 8 am.
The winner will take home the title and prizes worth more than $1000. 2nd and 3rd place will take home prizes too.
Prizes will be contributed by industry manufacturers, and sponsors. More details on the prizes will be announced.
The rules are simple: Entrants must stand up on a paddle board in the water for as long as possible without touching the board with any other part of the body or bracing themselves in any way. Since a significant tidal change will take place during the contest this will prove to be a major challenge. Expert judges will keep a watchful eye on the contestants. In the event the challenge exceeds 12 hours a winner will be determined by the judges as having the most stamina or grace under pressure.
Also taking place nearby in the cove, starting at 9am will be a paddle board obstacle course running all day for those willing to take the challenge.

Getting there: Take the King County Water Taxi from Pier 50 in downtown Seattle waterfront right to the Seacrest Marina. If driving, take the West Seattle Bridge off of I-5, and exit on Harbor Avenue. Turn right on the light and the venue is on your right after approximately 1 mile. The venue is just past Salty’s restaurant.
Hours: Saturday, 8am – ?. Specific rules including an ending time to be announced.
