West Seattle Grand Parade July 20 11:00 am
The West Seattle Grand Parade has been hosted by the West Seattle American Legion Post 160 since 1935 and is one of the oldest and most beloved community events in the Seattle area. The West Seattle Grand Parade includes participants from the Hi-Yu royalty and celebrates the diverse community and participants of the greater Seattle area. It is a proud member of the Seafair family of events and includes all of the pirates, clowns, marching bands, drill teams, floats, pagentry and excitement that leads up to the Seafair Torchlight Parade the following weekend.
Float Dodger 5K run July 20

WestSide Baby's Stuff the Bus - Disposable Diaper Drive Sunday July 21
WestSide Baby will be working toward their goal of 250,00 diapers collected for low income families as they "Stuff the Bus" in the parking lot of the American West Bank at 4022 SW Alaska Street on Sunday July 21 from 10:00am to 2:00pm
Bring diapers (or cases) to the site on Sunday. You can also bring them to Burien Toyota at 15025 1st Ave. South for the event.

Tacos in the Park for White Center Homeless Population

Tacos every second Friday of the month at noon during the summer (Friday, August 9th). Union Gospel Mission is assisting in coordinating this event, to continue their important outreach work in White Center. They have been serving the homeless population on Saturday evenings for over two years. White Center business owners are encouraged to send the homeless from their block to Tacos in the Park.
