There was a lot on the line Friday night when Chief Sealth bussed North to take on Ingraham in the final regular season game of 2013.

One week after an exciting Huling Bowl victory over West Seattle, the Seahawks hoped to build momentum heading into the playoffs by dismantling a Rams squad celebrating both homecoming and senior night.

Though Ingraham had several generations of fans in attendance, it was Chief Sealth and the unforgettable first quarter of its junior tailback Daron Comacho that won the day, giving the Seahawks a 28-6 win.

Having already scored one first quarter touchdown, on a ten yard run off tackle, Comacho than showed off his special teams talents by picking up another first quarter score when a blocked Ram’s field goal attempt bounced into his hands and the sophomore was able to follow a series of key blocks en route to a 90 yard, crowd silencing score.

Comacho finished the game with 108 total yards while also managing an offensive fumble recovery that helped the Seahawks (4-4) extend a drive deep into Ram territory.

Despite the coming of age game for the sophomore, it was Marquise Givens that led the way on the ground for the Seahawks, racking up 163 yards on the ground, a total that would have looked even nicer had a 40 yard third quarter burst not been called back for holding

The Seahawks pass/catch duo of quarterback Weston Reed and receiver Brady Crane were once again on point as Reed went 13-23 for 136 yards.
Crane grabbed 11 of those passes for 104 yards, including a 38 yard laser of a touchdown in the 3rd quarter.

But not all the fireworks belonged to Sealth as Ram’s sophomore tailback Emmery Porter managed to rip off a 48 yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter.

Porter ran hard finishing with 116 yards.

Nate Han also played well for Ingraham (1-7), netting 33 total yards of offense.

But the Rams had its hands full with big Anfirnee Lee as the 6’0’’ 335LB Defense
Tackle caused all kinds of havoc, making it into the backfield several times throughout the night.

His third quarter sack of Ingraham quarterback Ryan Kyle stopped a potential Rams scoring threat deep in Seahawk territory and his second of the game, a fourth quarter bum rush, once again kept the Rams out of the end zone.

With the regular season over, Chief Sealth will now await its post season fate.
