The Grand Opening of the King County Veterans Center, formerly the American Legion Hall at 3618 S.W. Alaska Street is this Friday, April 4. The event is an "SOS" Breakfast beginning at 7am and will feature Guest Speaker, King County Councilmember Joe McDermott.
In our previous coverage the facility has been known as the West Seattle Veteran's Center but was updated to reflect a wider regional service area. Also previously, King County Executive Dow Constantine had been scheduled to speak but had other responsibilities that day.
The breakfast will feature traditional military style breakfast foods plus some vegan choices.
The next big music event, the Gala, which was postponed will take place May 31.
Live music, cocktails and an extensive array of food will all be part of this sit down elegant event, and a silent auction will be featured. Musical guests and other aspects of the event will be announced later. Personal, group and corporate sponsorships are being sold for the event. Please contact Savannah Miller O'Malley for more information.
