West Seattle's food scene is about to get a delicious new addition. Charcuterie by Annalise, a charming specialty food shop, is set to celebrate its grand opening on September 22nd with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon. Located at 6032B California Ave SW in Seattle, this unique storefront promises to bring a touch of culinary artistry and Italian tradition to the neighborhood.
Founder Annalise Johnson, a Seattle University alumna with a passion for cheese and a flair for creativity, is excited to share her love of charcuterie with the community. "I create beautiful and delicious custom charcuterie spreads for every occasion," she explained.
The shop will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays from 11 AM to 3 PM. Customers can look forward to a variety of offerings, including four different menu items available for in-store purchase, as well as larger catering orders for pickup or delivery.
But Charcuterie by Annalise is more than just a food shop – it's an experience. The storefront will feature fun demos, cheese tastings, and a selection of specialty items including local cheeses and meats, sommelier-selected wines that pair perfectly with cheese and charcuterie, and customized gift baskets. And for those on the go, charcuterie lunch sandwiches will be coming soon.
Annalise's journey to opening her own charcuterie business is as heartwarming as it is inspiring. Growing up in a large Italian family, she developed a deep appreciation for fresh ingredients and beautiful food. Her grandmother, Rose, served as the inspiration for starting this business. "Some of my favorite core memories were built around that table growing up," Annalise reminisces, "and I am now honored to be the one hosting many of our family events."
What started as a pandemic hobby quickly blossomed into a full-time passion. Annalise's artistic eye and attention to detail shine through in her creations. "I have an artistic style using color mapping and am very particular about what flavor profiles are next to each other on a platter," she explains.
The goal of Charcuterie by Annalise is to create an edible art food experience – something that goes beyond just eating. It's about experimenting with food and engaging in a fun, nourishing way with others. Annalise even encourages customers to find their own "perfect bite" by mixing and matching different combinations of ingredients.
As a woman entrepreneur, Annalise is proud to be part of a supportive community of fellow women-owned charcuterie businesses in Washington. Her commitment to quality and customization is evident in her ability to accommodate various dietary preferences, restrictions, and allergies.
So mark your calendars for September 22nd and join Annalise as she cuts the ribbon on her dream business. Whether you're a cheese connoisseur, a lover of fine meats, or simply someone who appreciates the art of good food, Charcuterie by Annalise promises to be a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Get ready to create your own wonderful memories around the table, just as Analise did growing up – one beautiful charcuterie spread at a time.
