It's easy to miss the fact that the names of black lives lost in recent times are not the only ones. Black lives have been taken by brutality, injustice and racism for literally centuries. Most of their names have been forgotten.

Bloodworks Northwest is bracing for a severe summer blood shortage that could limit local trauma centers access to blood, so they’re ramping up their appeal for blood donations of all blood types.

Salty's on Alki, West Seattle's largest and arguably most famous restaurant has been missing in action during the pandemic.

Seattle based Mod Pizza is opening in Westwood Village on June 30 at 10:30am. The new restaurant took over the former locations of Baja Taco and Giovanni's Pizza. Each closed last year, Giovanni's in February and Baja in August.
