Lack of Burien festival strawberries disappoints

The Strawberry and Arts Festival was somewhat disappointing. It doesn't seem possible to have a strawberry festival without strawberries, but that's what Burien tried to do this year.

At the festival you could find plenty of arts, including jewelry and woodworking for sale, music and dancing on two stages, and even amazing feats of daring at a skateboard contest.

But you had to look hard for strawberries.

The country we live in is the U.S.A., but the fact is that we are a red and yellow, black and white mix and getting more mixed, so it's great when an event comes along to boil together ethnic groups into an exciting puree of soccer, cultural awareness and good times.

Starting last Friday, for the fifth year now, the All Nations Cup commenced.
