King County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that happened near the intersetion of 148th and 1st Ave SW in Burien on Thursday night.
The victim, a 22 year old male was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.There is no description of the suspect but it was known they fled in a vehicle.

On 2/4/19 at 4:15 PM Deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence disturbance near the 10400 BLK 16 AVE SW, in White Center. The suspect, a 29 year old male, had vandalized a car and then ran into the Subway restaurant that was nearby. When Deputies arrived on scene the victim directed them to the Subway.

In 2/12/2019 about 9:30 PM King County Sheriff’s Deputies and Burien Police were dispatched to Puget Sound Park at the 12600 BLK 1 AVE SW for a shooting that had just occurred. When they arrived they located a 22 year old victim that had been shot. Lifesaving efforts by the Deputies on-scene, and the King County Medics, were not successful and the victim died at the scene. The suspect, a 23 year old male, fled the scene in a vehicle.

On November 27, 1995, the King County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 200-block of SW 97 PL in White Center. Upon their arrival, deputies found an African-American male, identified later as Kenneth Ruffer, age 26, shot to death within the vehicle.
Alvin “Bud” Springer was born and raised in South Dakota. He married his sweetheart Alvina Schlecht on April Fool’s Day, 1943. They had three children: Gerrie (Dick) Peterson, Penny (Frank) Savage, and Rick Springer.
They moved to Seattle in 1945. Bud loved his family, spending much time with his children, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Bud also enjoyed traveling throughout 49 states, camping, fishing, hunting, playing pool, and dancing. For over 20 years, the couple spent half the year at their home in Arizona.
Dr. Douglas Hom, age 69, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019. He suffered a heart attack while skiing and, after a week-long struggle at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, died peacefully, surrounded by family.
