Chief Sealth Class of 1969 50-Year Reunion set for Sep. 28

The Chief Sealth Class of 1969 50-Year reunion is taking place on Sept. 28.

Sealth Alumni Patti Oquist said, "The plans for our reunion are coming together nicely, but we need your help to make this event a huge success! Get on the phone, jump on Facebook, pull up your contact list and tell your friends - we want to see everyone at the reunion.

Part of our personal history is shared through our years of high school. Those old walls hold a small piece of each of our lives, when a few short years seemed an eternity. Now is the opportunity to revisit those crazy high school memories. Looking back, I have a new appreciation for those days. The years have shown me that while new friends are fabulous, its old friends who bring joy and meaning to life.

Be sure to update your contact information so we can keep in touch. Continue to check back for updates and new information. We look forward to seeing you at this special once-in-a-decade occasion."

Green Life Expo will change festivals; Moving from Summerfest to Delridge Day Aug. 10

A feature of the West Seattle Summerfest for the last 8 years or so the Green Life Expo, has chosen not to be part of that event for 2019 and instead will move to Delridge Day.

Speaking on behalf of the event Stu Hennesey said, "For 2019 and beyond the Green Life Expo will be held in conjunction with Delridge Day.  Delridge Day offers a better opportunity to reach out, engage and inform our community about the alternatives and actions offered by our local non-profits and community groups.

We should all appreciate the community values and goals of Delridge Day as they align with our own goals.

Delridge Day is a one day event taking place this year on August 10th from 11 am to 3 pm.
