Traffic Advisory: Huskies Football Game and Construction Could Impact Weekend Traffic

The lull before the hectic holidays? The only events coming up this weekend
that are likely to create heavy traffic are the University Of Washington Huskies Football pre-game rally on Friday night and the game on Saturday night.
However, motorists should keep in mind that construction-related activities could also impact their travels this weekend.
The I-5 Mercer Street on - and off- ramps will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday night until 5 a.m. Monday morning.
Additionally, the Washington State Department of Transportation will be concurrently closing all lanes on SR 520 between Montlake Boulevard in Seattle and Interstate 405 in Bellevue from Saturday, November 5, to Monday, November 7.
Westbound SR 520 ramps and lanes will close at 10:00 p.m. Saturday November 5.
Eastbound SR 520 ramps and lanes will close at 1:00 a.m. Sunday, November 6.

Husky Event details are as follows:
Friday, November 4th
UW Husky Band Friday Night Rally and Procession: 8:45 – 10 p.m.
Streets just north of the campus
200 participants
UW Husky Marching Band will march through Greek Row from campus north on 21st
Avenue NE, west on NE 47th, south on 17th Ave NE and back to campus. Streets along the route will be closed to vehicles during the rally. Seattle Police will escort.
Saturday, November 5
University of Washington Huskies vs Oregon Ducks: 7:30 – 10 p.m.
Husky Stadium
70,000 attending
Expect extra heavy traffic on SR 520, I-5, and streets surrounding the stadium. Seattle Police will have the usual game day lane revisions in place before and after the game on arterials near the stadium.
