For those who haven't stepped outside these past few weeks -- it's officially fall in Ballard!

Ballard News-Tribune's photographer Jerry Gay took this photo while walking back to his car from an assignment. He said he couldn't believe how even the vehicle seemed to display fall colors and thought the composition was too good to pass up.

Gay has done work for several major newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times, New York Newsday and as a staff photographer for the Seattle Times, where he won the Pulitzer Prize. You can view his work at www.jerrgay.com
