Disgruntled co-worker punches man at bus stop
On Feb. 10, Seattle police officers responded to an assault at the 5400 block of Leary Avenue Northwest. Officers found a man with a bloody nose and a swollen face. The man told officers that while waiting for a bus, a man he used to know approached him. The suspect wore a pink shirt and pushed a stroller. The suspect asked the victim, “Do you remember me? Do you still want to fight?” The suspect primarily spoke Spanish and did not understand the suspect. The two men used to work together and their employer prevented them from fighting. The suspect kept pushing the victim to fight and suddenly punched the victim in the face. The victim bell back into the glass window of a business. The business owner called the police, and the suspect fled. The victim was taken to Swedish Hospital in Ballard to be treated for his injuries. Police searched the area, but did not find the suspect.
Kid Rock look alike suspected of burglary
On Feb. 10, police were dispatched to the scene of a burglary that occurred at the 9500 block of 32nd Avenue Northwest. The complainant told officers that when he returned home, he found the front door had been kicked in. His home was in disarray, and he noticed his wallet and some watches had been taken. The complainant thought that his neighbor’s surveillance cameras might have captured images of the suspect. Neighbors told police that there was a white male that “looked like Kid Rock” at the complainants home the day before. The suspect drove a black Escalade. The neighbor asked the suspect if he could help him find someone, and the suspect asked if a man he knew lived there. The neighbor told him that he did not know anyone by that name; however, the name of the complainant was on the mailbox.
Thief risks it all for phone charger and mountain bike
On Feb. 10, police were dispatched to the scene of a burglary that occurred at the 7300 block of 17th Avenue Northwest. The complainant told officers that during the night her car had been broken into. She found her car a mess. She noticed her phone charger had been taken. She also reported two bikes had been removed from her garage. One of the bikes was left near the door of the garage, but her mountain bike was taken. Police dusted for latent fingerprints but found none. The complainant was unable to provide a serial number for the bike.
