Burien Bike Day 2012
Local Burien Bike Day sponsors will host a morning Bike Commuter Support Station at Town Square Park for Burienites pedaling there way to work or the Transit Center. From 6:00am to 9:00am on Friday May 18th, the station will offer Burien bike commuters healthy organic snacks, cool giveaways, and a gathering place for bicycle commuters from Burien neighborhoods. The Station will also have the mechanical pros from Bicycles West, and experienced bike commuters on hand to discuss routes and safety, and to answer your cycling questions.
Then at 10:00 am WABI will be sponsoring its first Bike SaFaRi (Safe Family Ride) of 2012. With schools closed on Burien Bike Day, Friday May 18th, WABI ride leaders will be leading a 3 mile ride especially for those hard-working parents home with kids for the day. As always, the Bike SaFaRi will cover a safe, flat route; a perfect excursion for adults and kids building confidence, street smarts, and bicycling skills. The ride will end back at Burien Town Square park at approximately 11:30am. For more information and a recap on Burien Bike SaFaRis, visit this page.
