Class 4A
Distance runner Jordan McPhee led Mount Rainier to a ninth place team finish at this past week's Class 4A West Central District meet held at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
McPhee won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4 minutes, 57.26 seconds and took the 3,200 in 10:48.60.
The Mount Rainier girls finished with 26 team points, but the Ram boys team did not score.
Class 3A
Highline captured fourth place as a team in the Class 3A portion of the West Central District action at Mount Tahoma, scoring 59 points. Kennedy came in 10th with 28.5.
Michelle Stolz paced the Pirates by winning the 100-meter hurdles in 14.78 and the 300 hurdles in 45.41.
Highline also won the girls 800-meter relay race in a time of 1:45.28 and took the 1,600 relay in 4:02.73.
The Highline boys team finished 19th with 19 points as the Kennedy boys came in 21st with five.
State action for Class 4A, 3A and 2A will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Mount Tahoma.
Class 2A
The Class 2A action for the West Central District was held at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner. Foster scored 22.33 points for 12th place and Evergreen picked up two points to tie for 17th. For the boys, Foster finished 15th with 12 points just ahead of the 11 of Tyee. Evergreen came in 20th with two points.
Anthony Manago of Foster took first place in the long jump at a distance of 21 feet, 6.25 inches.
Class B
Evergreen Lutheran scored high finishes on both the boys and girls side in the Class B Bi-District meet held at the Southwest Athletic Center located in West Seattle.
The girls team came in sixth with 52 points and the boys placed eighth with 27.
Iraina Nitz of the Eagles won the girls 1,600 run in 5:53.94 and the 3,200 in 12:57.66, while teammate Karissa Kjenstad won the 800 in 2:39.93.
Jared Stefanoff of the Evergreen Lutheran boys team won the 3,200 in 10:50.28.
