Gymnastics
SPSL 4A meet
Mount Rainier took eighth place in the Class 4A South Puget Sound League meet held in their own gymnasium Saturday.
The Rams scored 153.1 points with Ava Welch taking third in the individual all-around with 35.4 and Regan Hunt 10th in the all-around with 34.0.
Welch won the vault with a 9.4 score and also took 10th in the bars with an 8.4.
Hunt was sixth in the bars with an 8.85 and also broke the top 10 in the floor exercise, coming in ninth with a 9.275.
Swimming
Seamount League
Kennedy Catholic splashed to a third place team finish in Saturday's meet, scoring 277 points.
Highline was fourth with 134, followed by Tyee with 57 and Evergreen with 10.
Tommy Thach of the Lancers won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1 minute, 53.74 seconds and he took the 100 butterfly in 50.94.
Teammate Jeff Kasahara captured first in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:05.75 effort.

Mount Rainier came in fourth as a team with 197 points in Saturday's meet held at Rogers High School in Puyallup.
Wrestling
Seamount League
Evergreen captured third place as a team in Saturday's 2A action with 91 points, followed by Foster with 57 and Tyee with 15.
Luis Cuellar of Foster won the 113-pound final by a 4-2 score and teammate Cale Weydovich took the 120-pound championship, 3-1.
Two Evergreen wrestlers met in the 220-pound final, with Edin Espinoza-Lopez defeating Danie Huynh by a 14-4 major decision.
Lam Pung of Evergreen reached the 170-pound final and lost by a 6-2 score and Jeremiah Kelemeta lost the 285-pound championship match by pin in 3:22.
SPSL North
Mount Rainier did not place any wrestlers in a championship match Saturday.
Boys basketball
SCS 48, Bellevue Chr. 31
Seattle Christian used its defense to keep Bellevue Christian at bay in Saturday's Nisqually League game.
Girls basketball

The Warriors lost a low-scoring game Saturday.

Foster 54, Evergreen 42
Foster topped Evergreen in the Seamount League finale for both teams Friday, with Foster going on to this week's West Central sub-district tournament for Class 2A teams.

Tyee was dealt a lopsided loss by the Highlanders on Friday.
Kennedy 57, Renton 55
The Lancers wrapped up the Seamount League championship at 13-1 with Friday's win.
Lindbergh 84, Highline 63
The Pirates' season ended with Friday's loss.

Seattle Christian worked overtime for Friday's victory over Charles Wright.

Kennedy Catholic finished undefeated in Seamount League action with a 14-0 record with Friday's win.
The Lancers took the No. 1 Class 3A seed for the league.

Tyee advances into the 2A sub-district tournament after Friday's win ended the Seamount League's regular season.
