The Mount Rainier High School girls basketball team opened state Class 4A tournament action with a 64-57 victory over Inglemoor on Thursday.
The quarterfinal win advanced the Rams into a 5:30 p.m. state semifinal Friday against Moses Lake at the Tacoma Dome.

At stake is a trip to Saturday's 5 p.m. championship game against Friday's Lynnwood vs. Gonzaga Prep semifinal winner.

The loser plays for third place at 11:15 p.m. Saturday against the Lynnwood-Gonzaga Prep loser.

Mount Rainier finished third in the past two state tournaments but is looking for a state championship this year.
