Tukwila teen in critical condition after stabbing in park
A Tukwila teen is in critical condition after being stabbed in the chest. The incident took place on Wednesday, October 1, sometime around 4p.m. when, according to witnesses, an argument in a park took a violent turn. Witnesses told Tukwila Police that they saw the 16-year-old victim and a man auguring in Cascade View Community Park, located at 14211 37th Avenue South in Tukwila, before the augment over an unspecified topic escalated and the man stabbed the teen a single time in the chest before fleeing the scene. People in the park were able to flag down an officer that was passing by and make law enforcement aware of what they had just seen. Emergency responders rushed to the scene and found the victim in critical condition and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The suspect in the stabbing was quickly located by officers at a nearby supermarket. He was arrested without further incident and identified as a 28-year-old man from Seattle. At time of publishing, the victim remained at Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. The identity of the suspect or victim has yet to be released.Â
