Foster just misses top four

Foster recovered nicely from a first round loss to win a 2-0 consolation round volleyball match against Bremerton at the Second Annual Seattle Christian volleyball tournament on Sat., Oct. 4.
Meshing together nicely, the Bulldogs ought tooth an nail with the nights throughout the fist set. Neither team was able to shake off the pursuit of its opponent until Foster edge away slightly near the end to avoid the loss and take a 26-24 win.
By the second set, the Bulldogs had matters well in hand most of the way en route to a strong 25-18 victory.
Battling was much tougher against Chimacum. The Cowboys seized early leads and kept Foster behind them all the way.
In the first set, the Bulldogs stayed just within striking range, but were unable to mount a finishing rally.
Set No. 2 was even tougher with the Cowboys continually riding off to sizable leads en route to a 25-15 triumph that left Foster one win short of a chance at fourth place.
