Warriors rebound

Seattle Christian rebounded from a first match loss to steadily outscore Chimacum 25-17 in second round poll play at the Second Annual Seattle Christian volleyball tournament on Sat., Oct. 4.
Overcoming a 4-2 deficit, the Warriors outscored the Cowboys at the ratio of 3-2 to establish a lead of 18-10 behind the strong hitting of Madelyn Weber and Abi Sauer after nice sets from Aubri Gunersen.
The passing game went smoothly with some nice serve. Chimacum drew within 19-14, but Seattle Christian stayed steady to pull away to a 24-15 margin on th way to victory.
"I connected with my setter well and our passing was good," said Sauer who finished with eight kills.
Audri Gundersen collected three aces and seven kills.
The win placed the Warriors in good position for a high seed for the afternoon tournament with one more seeding match left.
