Save the date, June 20-21 marks a sacred annual tradition in Burien, The Wild Strawberry Festival! Downtown Burien will once again be transformed as we gather to celebrate together as a community. The festival will include a stage with live music and dancing, wandering street performers, arts and crafts, and of course great vendors and spectacular food.

Notably absent this year is the spring carnival, which has been a mainstay of the Strawberry Festival in recent years. “With the growth and development of our downtown core, we’ve had to reassess the carnival as a direct component of the Strawberry Festival” offered Andrea Reay, Executive Director at Discover Burien. “Safety is always our paramount concern, and this year we just didn’t have the space to execute an effective carnival as part of the Festival.” “The carnival will be back in Burien with all your favorite rides, games and treats this fall in Puget Sound Park September 24-27.

Sunday June 21 is Father’s Day. Don’t forget to thank your Dad, and invite him to the Discover Burien Father’s Day Car Show! Now in its thirteenth year, this annual event features lean mean cruzin' machines and has become a perfect date with Dad.
