Highline College is showcasing local authors at the upcoming “Highline Listens: Writers Read Their Work” event on October 21 at 10 a.m. Highline’s own Allison Green and poet Debby Bacharach will share their works. Bacharach will also host a writing workshop following the reading. All events are free and open to the public.

Allison Green is the author of the memoir, The Ghosts Who Travel With Me, and the novel Half Moon Scar. She also teaches English at Highline College.
 
Debby Bacharach is the author of After I Stop Lying, which is a collection of her poems. Her work has appeared in New Letters, The Antigonish Review, Cimarron Review, among others. She also taught at Highline College from 2000 to 2006.
