Silvertips skate past T-Birds

he Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds, 4-1, at ShoWare Center in Kent Saturday night.
The T-Birds next play on Tuesday against the Prince George Cougars at 7:05 p.m. at ShoWare Center.
Seattle (18-10-2-0) took a 1-0 lead at 12:44 of the first period on Turner Ottenbreit's second goal of the season. Ryan Gropp passed the puck from the left boards to Ottenbreit at center ice. Ottenbreit took a slap shot that hit the cross bar and went into the net. Ethan Bear had the second assist on the goal to give him a seven-game point streak.
The Silvertips outshot the T-Birds 16-7 in the first period.
Everett (17-10-0-2) tied the game 1-1 at 16:27 of the second period on a goal from Patrick Bajkov.
Mackenzie Dwyer and Matt Fonteyne had the assists.
Seattle outshot Everett 13-9 in the second period. Everett led in total shots 25-20 after two periods.
Everett scored three goals in the third period to get the win. Remi Laurencelle scored 44 seconds into the period to give the Tips a 2-1 lead.
Cole MacDonald scored on the power play at 8:58 of the third to make it a 3-1 Everett lead.
Bajkov added a second goal in the game at 12:07 of the third for the final Everett goal.
Everett outshot Seattle 34-27 in the game.
Seattle goalie Logan Flodell made 30 saves 34 shots and his record is now 11-6-2-0.
Hart made 26 saves on 27 shots and his record is 17-9-0-2.
Bear had a hat trick Friday night at ShoWare Center to lead Seattle to a 5-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs.
Bear has nine goals and 24 assists on the season for 31 points. He leads the WHL in scoring by a defenseman. Bear is three goals behind Jake Bean of the Calgary Hitmen for the lead in goals scored by defenseman.
Keegan Kolesar had a goal and two assist in the game. Ryan Gropp and Jerret Smith each had two assists in the game.
Flodell had 25 saves on 26 shots.
