According to the King County Sheriff's office a Sylvester Middle School student is under arrest after bringing a handgun to school. Case number C18011204.

On Monday morning, at approximately 10:30 am students at Sylvester Middle School saw a student in class with a gun and immediately reported that to the principal. No threats were made to any students or the school. The school was immediately placed into lockdown and King County Sheriff’s Office responded quickly. The suspect, a 15 year old male was placed under arrest and a handgun was located a short time later hidden in the classroom. The lockdown has since been lifted

The suspect was booked into the Youth Service Center in Seattle.
