In the same space as the former Chinese Take Out, Southside Pizza is opening June 25.

It may have been that chinese food and beer were not a perfect marriage but whatever the case Chinese Take Out, the ten month old restaurant at 9809 16th SW in White Center closed last Sunday. In its place with same operators, just adjacent to Lil Woody's Burgers and Beer Star is Southside Pizza.
Their official first day is Monday, June 25th. Their Facebook page says they will be "featuring whole pies, slices, and pizza joint classics that will have something for the whole family. The menu features a range of traditional pizza offerings—including build your own—by the slice or in three whole pie sizes ($12-24). The pizza crust is made from a special Jersey-Sourdough hybrid giving it extra flavor and texture. In addition, the menu includes a Green, Caesar and Southside Chop Salad, plus two pasta dishes, Rigatoni and Sausage, along with traditional Spaghetti and Meatballs. Crowd-pleasing appetizers like Garlic Parmesan Bread sticks, Buffalo Wings and housemade Mozzarella Sticks round out the menu.
That doesn't mean the CTO restaurant idea is completely over however. The say online "Stay tuned for a rebirth elsewhere in the future and enjoy the new Beer, Burgers, and Pizza combo soon to exist at the Beer Star Building!"
