A 26 year old murder suspect was arrested in Dayton, Ohio. The suspect is alleged to have robbed and killed the clerk of America’s Best Value Inn on June 16, 2018. King County Sheriff’s Detectives will be flying to Ohio to continue the investigation. The suspect will eventually be extradited back to WA to face charges.
This case was solved by King County Major Crimes Detectives with a lot of help from all of the nearby Hotels and Motels in SeaTac that cooperated and assisted with their investigation.
Also a huge thanks to Montogomery County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio that was able to arrest the suspect.

The evening of June 15 around 11:15 PM, the shuttle driver for America’s Best Value Inn along with a passenger, found the front desk clerk shot in the lobby.
Police and Medics arrived and provided CPR to the victim, who was transported to Harborview Hospital.
The victim, a 40 year old male from Spanaway, died from his injuries.
King County Major Crimes Detectives have determined that this started as a robbery of the Motel’s cash when the victim was shot and ultimately killed.
Detectives are continuing to work this investigation. If anyone saw anything suspicious at or near the motel last night please call the King County Sheriff’s Office at 206/296-3311.
