Beavers Sports Roundup: Post Season Success: Baseball wins again! Softball, Tennis and LAX make the playoffs; two golfers to compete at State

It's been an incredible week for the Ballard baseball team, winning three Playoff games in a row. Last night the Beavers faced Inglemoor and won with a definite score of 14 to 2.
Senior Caleb Jaegar was on the mound for the Beavers and gave a great performance. He gave up six hits and two runs, struck out two and gave up no walks.
The beavers were strong offensively, scoring 14 runs on 13 hits, and hitting five doubles, and one three-run homerun.
The Beavers will now go on to play the WesCo #3 seed, Jackson High School, at Everett Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 14. The winner of this game will play in the state game.
Softball:
Despite a few recent tough losses, the Ballard softball team will go on to play in the KingCo Playoffs.
The Lady Beavers ended their regular league season with a record of 10-5 and are tied for third place with Inglemoor. The Beavers won the coin flip and took the third seed in the KingCo Tournament. They will most likely face Issaquah on Tuesday, May 15th at Lower Woodland #3.
Track and Field:
Ballard track athletes are finishing up the KingCo Meet today but six Beavers have already placed for the Bi-District meet next week in Marysville.
Senior Emma Suchland continues to be unbeatable in the is the KingCo Champion in the 200; Mia Wrey took second in the 1600; Carolyn Birkenfield took fourth in the 200 and eighth in the 400; Robert Meyer took fifth in the shot put; Senior Sarah Otness took seventh in Discus and Senior Matt Kelly took fourth in the Javelin.
Golf:
Congratulations to Seniors Michael Day and foreign exchange student Fah Anusuriya for making it to the State championships.
They will be competing May 21 through 23 in Spokane.
Tennis:
The KingCo Playoffs start next week at the Outreach Tennis and Performance Center. All first round games are Monday, May 14th.
Singles: Freshman Rachell Thompson will play against Skyline at 2:45 p.m., and Sita Pongthunyavirya will face a Bothell student at 7:45 p.m.
Doubles: Enjuli Chhaniaia and Alyssa Ledgerwood will play against Eastlake at 9:45 a.m; and Julian List and Sydney McMuldruch will face Roosevelt at 11 a. m.
Boys Lacrosse:
The Ballard boys LAX team finished their regular season 7-3 in division and 7-8 overall taking second place.
For the first time in the school's history, the boys LAX team will be going to the KingCo Playoffs. They play tomorrow against Overlake at Overlake at 1 p.m.
