Seaway Marine's F-1 tunnel boat driven by Greg Foster won the Graham Trucking Cup title on Sunday Aug. 5 on Lake Washington. The West Seattle Herald profiled Seaway Marine in mid June.

F1-PROP boats include a 375-horsepower Mercury or Johnson engine that propels them to speeds of 140 miles per hour. The boats are 17 feet long and weight approx. 1,150 pounds with a driver.

Foster has spent half his life as a power boat racing participant. At the age of 15 he began his driving career in the 72cc Inboard Hydro Class. In 1974 he earned the coveted title of National High Points Champion for APBA. Soon he progressed into larger and faster classes. In 1976 he set a World Kilo Straightaway record of 119.576 mph in an E Racing Runabout, a mark which still stands today. Several years later Greg switched to outboard powered hulls with equal success winning national titles in Marathon Competition for the popular MOD-VP Class. Along the way, Greg also picked up major wins at the Parker Enduro and Lake Havasu Classic. During this time, Greg also demonstrated his athletic versatility by emerging as a world ranked Speed Skiing Competitor, chosen as a member of the 1988-1989 USA World Speed Ski Team. In 1987, Greg joined the IOGP Tunnel Boat Racing Series and later started racing Champ and Formula One Champ Boats. Later in his career, Greg raced with the Wendt Bros, Sherman Williams team and won two Formula One Championships in 2001-2002.
