9:00 p.m., October 17. N 80th St and Greenwood Ave N

A man was attacked and robbed on the night of October 17 while walking along Greenwood Ave N. The victim was approached by a stranger, who asked him if he had any spare change. When the victim said that he didn’t, the suspect began hitting him in the face. Another suspect approached and began hitting the victim as well. The victim fell to the ground, where the suspects continued to hit and kick him. One of the suspects took the victim’s wallet and both of them fled the scene.

The victim was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire and later taken to the hospital for further care. Police conducted an area search for the suspects but were unsuccessful. The first suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, 5’9” and 180 lbs. The second suspect is described as a male wearing a puffy blue jacket and a black beanie. The investigation is ongoing.

11:00 p.m., October 13. 75th block of 23rd Ave NW

Police responded to reports of a residential burglary on the night of October 13. The victim said that she left her house at 8:00 p.m. that day and returned at 11:00 p.m. to find her dining room window pried open and several items missing from inside. The burglar took a DVD player, a bottle of vodka, a food processor, and jewelry. The responding officer determined that the burglar had used a decorative yard stone to reach the window and pry it open to gain entry. No fingerprints were found at the scene.

6:57 a.m., October 11. 83rd block of 18th Ave NW

A woman called police on the morning of October 11 to report that her son had contacted her via facebook to tell her that his home had been burglarized. The responding officer spoke with the victim, who said that someone had forced open his door and stolen his iPhone from his bedroom while he was sleeping. The victim said that he had gone to sleep at 9:00 p.m. on October 10. Two hours later, his roommate noticed that his door had been damaged, and the victim realized that his iPhone was missing. The victim said that he heard nothing and had no idea who the burglar could be.

1:00 p.m., October 10. 87th block of Greenwood Ave N

Police responded to reports of a robbery and disturbance at a grocery store on the afternoon of October 10. They spoke with the victim, the loss prevention officer, who said that the suspect had attempted to steal a bottle of alcohol. The victim followed the suspect out of the store and identified himself and told the suspect to return the alcohol. The suspect refused to comply and tried to hit the victim, but the victim was able to partially contain him. The victim said that the suspect continued to struggle, and he had to force the suspect to the ground in order to fully subdue him. The victim was read his rights and taken to the North Precinct, where he complained of a sore shoulder. He declined to be taken to the hospital and said he would rather go directly to jail.
