KCSO seeks witnesses
The King County Sheriff's Office is seeking witnesses in a Nov. 6 incident where a 56-year-old Burien woman was found on S.W. 152nd St. around 5:30 p.m. with a life-threatening head injury. Sgt. Cindi West said the woman has been unable to talk to detectives. If you have information please call the King County Sheriff’s Office at (206) 296-3311 Reference case #12-258013 On Monday, November 6th around 5:30 PM police responded to a 911 call at S.W. 152nd St near 4th Ave S.W. to a report of a woman lying in the roadway bleeding from the head. Burien Police arrived and started CPR on the woman when they found she was not breathing. Witnesses said the woman had just left a pet store in the area and was found a few minutes later lying in the roadway. Detectives believe the driver of the van may be a potential witness and are asking them to come forward as well. The van was described as a late 80’s Ford or Chevrolet, possibly gray in color, with an orange or brown stripe down the side. This van is NOT a suspect vehicle.
Identification of robbery suspects sought
The King County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) involved in three armed robberies that occurred in Burien over the last month. The robberies occurred at local Hispanic-run businesses. During two of the robberies a suspect wore a wig.
“On Nov. 8th at approximately 5:30 p.m. a man entered the Grocery Video Cuautla store in the 200 block of SW 152nd St, pointed a gun at customers and employees and told them to get on the ground. The suspect took cash from the register and fled out the back of the store,” said Sgt. Cindi West.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s about 5’6” to 5’9” inches tall with a mustache. He was wearing a light brown wig, a fake beard and was dressed in a navy blue top with a gray collar, and blue jeans. Witnesses said he spoke in “Spanglish” with a Hispanic accent.
“On Nov. 17th just before 7:30 PM deputies responded to a robbery at the Tienda Mexican store in the 17700 block of Ambaum Blvd S. A man robbed the store at gunpoint and fled on foot northbound. He was described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’6” to 5’9” medium build with black pants, a dark colored ski mask and a handgun,” added West.
Then on Nov. 25 at 6:25 p.m., Burien police units were dispatched to the La Ceibita Market and Restaurant at the 14200 block of 1st Ave S. to a report of a robbery. Police say the suspect entered the business wearing a blonde wig and pointed a handgun at an employee demanding money. The robber fled with cash out of a south facing door and through the Fred Meyer parking lot.
This suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5’ 6” to 5’9” inches tall, with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing dark glasses, a thin black mustache, and a long blonde wig. The wig from this robbery was found near S. 138th and 2nd Ave S during a search of the area. No injuries were reported in any of the robberies. Video was obtained from the robbery on the 8th. Man leaps from van
A man leapt from the window of a moving King County Metro transit access van on Interstate 5 Nov. 26, in SeaTac. The Washington State Patrol says the driver tried to pull over to the shoulder after the man became agitated but was going about 35 miles per hour when the man jumped.
KOMO reports he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition with a broken pelvis and other injuries. Metro provides the door-to-door Access van service for passengers with disabilities
