New mobile ordering and payment platform turns ordinary people in VIPs – simply walk into a coffee shop, grab your coffee, and walk out… like a rock star.
Any barista with a cell phone can accept orders. No hardware required.

Seattle, Wash. – Jan 22, 2013 – Buck, a mobile payments company based in Seattle, today announced the launch of its new mobile coffee service called Coffee Like A Rock Star. The new ordering and payments platform saves time for customers enabling orders to be placed from any mobile phone. Any barista with a mobile phone can receive orders, rocking their customers through their shop in record speed.

“We all want to feel like VIPs,” said Andy Kleitsch, Buck founder and CEO. Kleitsch, who is a singer in a neighborhood rock band, has always wanted to be a rock star. “I’m not a rock star in real life,” says Kleitsch, “but with Coffee Like A Rock Star I feel like one every morning. It’s just fun.”

Customers visit HYPERLINK "http://www.CoffeeLikeARockStar.com" www.CoffeeLikeARockStar.com to find coffee shops near them (no app download required). The coffee is made immediately upon ordering. The coffee will be waiting on the counter with the last 4 digits of the cell phone on the cup.

Coffee Shops simply sign-up for the service on the Coffee Like A Rock Star mobile site. The only equipment required is a mobile phone with text messaging. Buck delivers text message orders to one, or many, mobile phones at each coffee shop. Buck charges $0.35 per order (includes credit card processing). Coffee Shops are paid at the end of each month.

Other mobile solutions in the marketplace, like Starbucks, require users to stand in line, order, and wait for their coffee. Coffee Like A Rock Star is the only solution removing all waiting.

The service launched this week in Burien. “We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive response from coffee shops. We’re launching with my two favorite coffee shops, but it’s easy to imagine how this idea could take off.”
