South Seattle Community College’s WorkSource Center is pleased to announce eight free job workshops this winter. No registration is required, but seating may be limited and is on a first - come, first - served basis. All classes will meet on the South Seattle Community College campus. In the WorkSource office located in RSB 79.
Online Job Search Basics
Are you new to online job searching? In this workshop you will learn about submitting online resumes and completing web based applications. Prerequisites: Internet Basics 1 or the ability to navigate a web page, Resume Basics, or an existing resume.

Effective Résumés for the New Job Search
Come to this workshop if you want to learn what employers are looking for in a resume. This workshop focuses on developing a resume that will get past the 10 - second screen and help you discover the keys to a successful resume. A resume template will be distributed that can be used in paper or electronic form.

Midlife Career Changing in the New Economy
This course is designed to help participants analyze and understand the problem of ‘Ageism’, how age discrimination affects their job search and most importantly what they can do to empower themselves and find meaningful work in this difficult job market. Along with specific focus on job search skills and resources, there will be a special emphasis on "mid-life career changes" and "technology as a job search tool."
