West Seattle resident Avrian Sellick has started at online petition at Change.org asking the City of Seattle to take down several surveillance cameras along the shoreline.

The petition is available for viewing here.

Sellick explains:
"I've created an online petition at Change.org for those who are against the unsolicited installation of Surveillance Cameras in West Seattle by the Seattle Police Department. The petition is also for those who are deeply concerned with the SPD's handling of the public relations aspect of these cameras.

"Once the signatures reach 2000, I will deliver the signatures to the Mayor's Office along with the comments made by those who've signed.

"I really just want to give those people who are concerned about these cameras an organized avenue to communicate with the city and SPD."
