Women in Jazz Festival
What: The Seattle Women in Jazz Festival, the first festival of its kind locally, will highlight some of Seattle’s best jazz bands, led and/or comprised of women. It will be coming to Egan's Ballard Jam House on Friday and Saturday. Friday, saxophonist Cynthia Mullis and Syrinx Efect (Saxophonist Kate Olson and trombonist Naomi Siegel) will be playing.

The Hairy Ape
What: Ghost Light Theatricals’ production of Eugene O’Neill’s 1922 expressionist play, The Hairy Ape, combines abstract movement, choreographed stage violence, shadow work, and performance art to tell the story of a brutish, unthinking, middle-aged laborer known as Yank.
