Massage Envy opened on Saturday with a ribbon cutting and complimentary chair massages for the first visitors.

The first West Seattle location of Massage Envy, a chain of massage providers will open on Saturday, May 25 in Westwood Village. It is next to the Staples in the Westwood Village Shopping Center.

The West Seattle Chamber of Commerce will conduct an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Following the ribbon cutting, the clinic will kick off celebratory activities by offering complimentary chair massages, healthy treats and a water bar until 1 p.m.

The clinic will offer more than 13 licensed massage therapists.

The facility will feature several treatment rooms, including a room for couples or a group of two to three friends. Licensed massage therapists will provide a variety of massage therapies, including: Swedish massage; deep tissue massage; sports massage; reflexology; cranial sacral therapy; prenatal massage and senior massage. Clients may also add hot stone, sugar scrub, aromatherapy and deep muscle therapy upgrades to enhance their therapeutic massage experience. All sessions are available in 60-minute, 90-minute and two-hour increments.

Monthly memberships are $59.99. The monthly membership includes a customized one-hour massage, unlimited additional massages at $39.99, the ability to earn free massages and upgrades, rollover capabilities for unused massages, family add-on specials, retail discounts and members only events. The clinic will offer convenient hours, and will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
