3 year old hit by car in Burien

A 3-year-old Seattle girl was stuck by a car in Burien Sunday after she broke free from her mothers grip and ran into the road.
King County Sheriff's Office Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Unit detectives said the incident happened around1:30pm Sunday in the12200 block of 24 Ave S.
The girl and her mother were walking southbound on the west side of 24 Ave S. The girl broke free from her mothers grasp and ran into the path of a south bound vehicle driven by a 67 year old SeaTac man.
The girl suffered serious injuries and was transported to Harborview. Detectives said there is no evidence of alcohol or speed on the part of the driver of the vehicle.
