A season long effort produced this team of winners. Here they are Manager Steve Joseph, Coach Andy Rasmussen, Coach Stephen Sadis, WSLL President Brian Pare and the 9-10 District 7 All Star Champions.
Two West Seattle teams captured District 7 championships on Saturday July 6. The 9-10 team defeated South Highline National 11-8 while the majors team lost one game to PACWest 6-2 but battled back to win the title with an 11-9 victory over the same team.
The 9-10 team goes on to open the state tournament Sunday, July 14 in Oak Harbor as the Majors travel to Vancouver.
The 9-10 team scored six runs in the 2nd inning to take a 6-1 lead. Spencer Burgess and Julian Rodriguez hit back to back doubles to start it off.
Nate Rasmussen had and RBI double later in the rally.
