Drug treatment, traffic safety and animal abuse on the agenda for upcoming West Seattle Crime Prevention Council meetings

Richard Miller with the West Seattle Crime Prevention Council shared the following details on their next three once-a-month meetings:
October 15th, 2013
We will have Tom Essex, King County Drug Court Treatment Manager, Mr.
Essex will discuss this program that provides eligible defendants the
opportunity to receive drug treatment in lieu of incarceration.
We will also have Det. David Doucett, The Seattle Police Liaison
to the King County Drug Court.
November 19th, 2013
Jim Curtin, Seattle Department of Transportation, Mr. Curtin will give
us a presentation of the key issues that affect safety on West Seattle
streets, a review of collision hot-spots, and what you can do to be safe?
The presentation will include data about crashes separated by mode and
location.
January 21st, 2014
Our guest will be Ann Graves, Manager of Field Services, Seattle Animal
Shelter, Ms. Graves will discuss dog-flipping, dangerous/abused animals,
the leash law and more.

Meetings are held from 7-8:30pm on the 3rd Tues of every month except for July, Aug, & Dec.
