Destination Des Moines (DDM) held its monthly board and general meeting at Certified Folder Co in Seatac. The main order of business was to appoint a Chairperson for the 2014 Waterland Festival and elect 3 board members.

Elana Bryan, of Bryan Insurance Co., was nominated and elected to chair the 2014 Waterland Festival. Elana has had an association with Seafair parades both as a participant and assisting with the Hi-Yu organization in West Seattle. Anna Bjorneby will Co-Chair the committee with Elana.

Elected to the Board of DDM were Shelley Murray, Scott Evans and Cass Prindle. They bring a broad range of skills and knowledge to the board. Shelley, Scott and Cass had recently served as members of the Des Moines Planning Agency.

.Destination Des Moines was founded in 2006. The mission of Destination Des Moines is to develop awareness of the City of Des Moines as a great place, to attend and hold community events, to open and operate a business and to assist other organizations in promoting and marketing events.
