Development: subdivisions and a four-story structure containing 85 residential units

The Department of Planning and Development has released an update for development in the Northwest area of Seattle. There are six new land use applications; some include subdivisions, another is to turn a church into a private school, and one for a four-story structure containing 85 units.

7016 15th Ave N.W.: Land Use Application to allow a 4-story structure containing 85 residential units above 3,000 sq. ft. of commercial and 7 live-work units. Parking for 48 vehicles to be provided below grade. Existing structures to be demolished.
The following approvals are required:

SEPA Environmental Determination (This project is subject to the Optional DNS Process (WAC 197-11-355) and Early DNS Process (SMC 25.05.355).
510 N. 49th St.: Land Use Application to allow a change of use of a portion of an existing church (8,795 sq. ft.) to private school (Kapaka Cooperative School).
The following approvals are required:
Administrative Conditional Use to allow an institution not meeting development standards.
1523 N.W. 58th St.: Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into three unit lots. The construction of residential units has been approved under Project #6381184. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots.
The following approvals are required: Unit Lot Subdivision to create three unit lots.
2014 N.W. 57th St.: Land Use Application to allow 1,952 sq. ft. to be used as community center (urban rest stop) at ground level in a 51 unit low-income elderly apartment building (approved under separate permit #6305188).
The following approvals are required:
Administrative Conditional Use to allow community center in a midrise zone within 600' of Seattle Public Library (Ballard Branch).
Administrative Conditional Use to allow an institution in a midrise zone that does not meet parking requirements.
4511 Linden Ave. N.: Land Use Application to subdivide one parcel into two parcels of land. Proposed parcel sizes are: X) 2454 sq. ft. and Y) 2547 sq. ft. Existing structures to be demolished.
The following approvals are required: Short Subdivision to create two parcels of land.
1455 N.W. Leary Way: Land Use Application to change 29,994 sq. ft. of office use to medical office use. No change in parking.
The following approvals are required: Administrative Conditional Use to allow a medical services use exceeding 10,000 sq. ft. within 2,500 of a medical major institution overlay.
