The Port of Seattle welcomes Metsker Maps, historic Seattle cartography experts dating back to 1880, as its newest store today at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
“We are pleased to welcome Metsker Maps to Sea-Tac Airport,” said Sea-Tac Managing Director Mark Reis. “In keeping with our goal of creating a distinct Northwest sense of place, we’ve brought a little bit of Pike Place Market to the airport.” “Maps tell us where we are, remind us of where we have been and inspire new adventures,” said Metsker Maps President Jay Brown. “Metsker Maps is embedded in the unique history of the Northwest, and we are thrilled to open our newest venture at Seattle-Tacoma’s world-class international airport.”
The small, local business features unique maps, globes, books, guides, travel accessories and children’s items.
Metsker Maps’ deep roots in Seattle culture complement Sea-Tac’s diverse retail offerings featuring a unique combination of national brands and local favorites such as Ivar’s Seafood, Anthony’s Restaurant, Dish D’Lish and Sub Pop. The store is located post-security at the beginning of the B concourse next to McDonald’s.
