West Seattle's annual summer celebration Summerfest is back for the 32nd year July 11-13 and you can expect a full lineup of outstanding local music plus the usual array of more than 150 vendors, including food, new this year Pet Junction an area within Summer Fest where people and pets can meet! Designed to provide festival goers with a host of resources to be good companions for our pets, you will find the latest information on how keep pets in good health, opportunities to meet local animal relief organizations, artists that specialize in pets, and of course lots of fun for our furry friends. Pet Junction is sponsored by Next-to-Nature and Greentree Animal Hospital. It will be on California Ave – North of Oregon St.

The festival will feature Greenlife again, a Garden and Sustainability Expo special feature. Alki Bike and Board presents the GreenLife stage and offers 3 days of demonstrations that will educate and inspire more sustainable living. You'll find it at the south end of the festival. The GreenLife Stage is sponsored by Alki Bike and Board and features 3 days of sustainability demonstrations. Topics include: Building with Reclaimed Materials; Backyard Beer Making; and Home Canning and Preservation. Performances of the highly acclaimed Illuminatio Dance will be presented on Friday and Sunday afternoons.

The GreenLife area is sponsored by West Seattle Nursery and is located in the Chase Bank parking lot, off California Ave SW and SW Edmunds St. GreenLife runs from Friday, July 11th through Sunday, July 13th. The YMCA is sponsoring the kids area this year featuring Clowns Unlimited and free art and activity area for the young ones. This will be staged in the Wells Fargo parking lot.
