Alki Art Fair Seeking Volunteers for Board & Chair Positions
Volunteers needed for 18th Annual Alki Arts Fair July 25-26, 2015. We are now interviewing for positions within the Board of Directors and for Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs. Individual positions available: 2 Board Members; Chairs & Co-Chairs - Volunteer Coordinator, Public Relations; Music Producer - Silent Auction, Logistics. Positions require volunteers to put in about 5 hours per month and one full day of volunteering on July 25th or 26th, 2015. Some roles require more volunteer time to ensure quality production. Yoga for the 50 Plus
Senior Center of West Seattle has expanded its health & fitness options. This new yoga class for older adults meets Thursdays, 10-11am. $7/Senior Center members or $10/non-members. Suitable for beginners and those with some yoga experience. Instructor Anita Thompson is a certified yoga teacher with more than 15 years of teaching experience. Class will help those 50 and older stay active and address some of the challenges of aging, such as improving balance and flexibility. Advance registration is preferred, but drop-ins welcome. Bringing a yoga mat and a large bath towel are recommended.
