Authorities are on the look out for a mugger who botched an arm robbery in Fremont

According to the Seattle Police Department, on Dec. 4, a man was walking along the 300 block of Northwest 41st Street when a suspicious looking man approached him.

The suspect demanded the victim’s “stuff.” The victim replied “no,” and the passive suspect said, “Well at least give me your wallet then.” Again, the victim refused, so the suspect decided to takes things to the next level and pointed 9mm Glock at the victim and demanded his wallet. The victim complied, but asked the suspect to pardon his I.D. Strangely, the suspect responded with a hint of compassion and decided to give back the victim's I.D., but fumbled in the process. The victim saw his opportunity and grabbed the gun and pointed it back at the suspect, demanding his things back. The suspect rushed the victim, and they scuffled on the ground. The suspect viciously bit the victim on the leg and the suspect’s fist forcefully made contact with the victim’s groin.

An onlooker called the police, and they quickly arrived on the scene, but before they did the suspect had fled. A K-9 unit was dispatched, but the scent went cold.

Officers determined that the gun had been stolen from a Kirkland address.

Church burglarized twice

Nov. 23, officers responded to a burglary at a church on the 1400 block of Northwest 73rd Street. Video footage reveals a white woman entered the church from a back door. Church members believe the suspect has a key because there was no sign of forced entry. The police report does not disclose how much or what the suspect took.

Basement bandit rifles duffel bag

Nov. 21, officers responded to a burglary at a home on the 2600 block of Northwest 96th Street. The complainant told officers that sometime between Nov. 21 and Nov. 24, a suspect kicked in her basement door and tried to enter her living quarters. She told officers that she only enters the basement to do laundry and had not been down there for a few days. The suspect rummaged through a duffle bag, but the complainant believes the suspect did not take anything.

Thief leaves electronics, takes change

Nov. 25, officers responded to a burglary at a residence residing at the 7500 block of 23rd Avenue Northwest. The complainant told officers that his wife arrived home that evening and noticed dresser drawers had been rifled through. She ran out of house and called her husband and the police. When the complainant arrived home, he noticed that the bedroom side window had been pried open. Surprisingly, the thief only took a jar containing coins when there were expensive electronics in the room. The estimated cost of the damaged window is $1000.
